Essential Turf is a small local business based in Columbus, Ohio. Owner and operator Brandon Stith started the business in 2021 with the mission of providing common-sense lawn treatment services to both residential and commercial clients in Central Ohio.
Brandon has been a member of the turfgrass industry since 2016, working in various roles throughout his career. His experience includes positions at the Golf Club in New Albany, Ohio, Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and The Ohio State University. He graduated from Ohio State with a bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Plant Systems, specializing in Turfgrass Science. Shortly after graduation, Brandon returned to OSU to become Manager of the Turfgrass Research Center at Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory. His work at OSU involves collaborating with leading researchers in the industry, and staying on top of best practices in the field.
